TESOL
TEACHING ENGLISH TO SPEAKERS OF OTHER LANGUAGES
WHAT
IS TESOL?
The need and desire to communicate in English is incredibly strong throughout the world, and teachers are uniquely positioned to be a blessing and a witness to others.
The TESOL is a 11-week seminar in Paris focused on training people to teach English as a second/foreign language in a Christian missions context. Learn how to teach English from a biblical worldview, run a classroom, and gain an understanding on how to start English teaching ministries to reach and disciple the nations.
THE COURSE
The Lecture Phase consists of approximately 180 hours of class time, intercessory prayer, and worship. Plus around 20 hours of practice teachings and classroom observations. It also includes theories and practical application of teaching, speaking, reading, writing, listening, grammar and pronunciation of English.
The Practicum Phase is when the student becomes the teacher. It’s designed to give every seminar student hands-on experience in a real language classroom. Classes are taught in teams, and evaluations are given by both peers and TESOL instructors alike. Students will experience multicultural settings, discipling nations through teaching English, and bringing empowerment and biblical truth to people of diverse backgrounds.

“
”
God called me to do the TESOL to become more prepared for being in missions. Even though teaching was the last thing I ever wanted to do because I did not have the confidence to speak up as a student in high school, the Lord grew me and provided in every area!
