In October 2017, a small crew of twelve young adults in Perth, Australia chose obedience to the Lord, and followed a call into risk and faith to plant a missional community inside one of the most influential cities in the world: Paris. Home to around twelve-million people, Paris carries an intentional and strategic access to the rest of Europe and Asia for the Gospel to spread quickly and often---most of our outreach teams able to reach many European nations like Ireland and Albania (two of our focus nations!) in only three hours.

 

After hundreds of rejections from long hunts for housing, closed doors, long days of prayer, and daily meals consisting of pasta and sauce, God opened a door for the twelve pioneers to permanently plant in a small neighborhood called Aubervilliers, where our campus has been rooted for the past nine years. 190 nations are represented in our neighborhood. People from some of the world's hardest to reach nations are at our doorstep!

The pioneering days were never easy, but God remained faithful--and has always remained faithful. In times of need, God gave our team the foundation of trusting His character and nature through risk and faith. Learning to trust the Lord in the early days has shaped us into who we are now, and it's created a community built upon the faithfulness of God and the hope that He always makes a way when it seems impossible. Over the last nine years, the Lord has blessed our campus from from just twelve pioneering YWAMers to over forty-five full-time staff members representing sixteen nations and ten languages!

 

Since the beginning, YPC has consistently run DTS after DTS, multiple second-level schools, and a variety of events that serve and reach our local community: dynamic worship, holistic discipleship, and commitment to see God transform cities through a simple "YES! Here I am, send me!" There is never a dull moment here at YPC.
